The auto-expiration feature in Microsoft Teams automatically deletes meeting recordings stored in OneDrive after a default period. This helps manage storage space and keep files organized. However, some organizations may need these recordings to be available for longer periods or indefinitely.
By adjusting the auto-expiration settings, you can ensure that recordings are available for as long as needed. This is particularly useful for businesses that need to retain important meeting records for future reference, audits, or compliance without worrying about premature deletion of critical information. Customizing the expiration policy allows organizations to optimize cloud storage usage while ensuring that all relevant data remains accessible as required.
